Hiking Heroes explored half of the Olle Route 10 this May, walking about 5 km from Hwasun Golden Sand Beach to the Sagye Fossil Site. We hiked for 2 hours through peaceful forests and along the coastline, and collected over 140 liters of litter.
While the trail and beaches were cleaner than expected, we found a surprising amount of trash scattered through alleyways and near tourist spots.

Saekdal Beach Cleanup

4th Clean-up at Jungmun Saekdal Beach.
Today, we headed to Jungmun Saekdal Beach for our fourth Clean-up event of the year. At first glance, the beach seemed clean, but as we moved closer to the stones, uphill areas, and breakwater, countless pieces of trash came into view. This cleanup was truly meaningful, reminding us of the serious issue posed by nano plastics and other small debris scattered along the shore.
