Who We Are.
Hello, we are the Hiking Heroes Jeju chapter. Jeju Island, the largest in South Korea, is renowned for its UNESCO-listed World Geopark, World Natural Heritage Site, and Biosphere Reserve status, thanks to its stunning volcanic landscapes. With 360 climbs and 27 trails, Jeju is a popular tourist destination and a treasure trove of biodiversity and geology that deserves our care and preservation.
The Jeju Oreum, one of the island’s most famous attractions, offers a glimpse into the beauty and uniqueness of this natural environment. Recognizing the need to protect these precious landscapes, we founded the Jeju Chapter of Hiking Heroes in 2023.
Our journey began as a club at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju, and now we aspire to grow into a chapter that includes all four schools within Jeju Global Education City. Our mission is to inspire a deeper connection to nature, promote environmental stewardship, and celebrate the natural wonders of Jeju Island.
Stay tuned for our journey.
